I met Mel back in May 2021. She initially arranged an in-home meet and greet with my family and I to go over support required and to make sure we'd be a great fit. Prior to this I had been searching via online platforms for a Support Worker and none were working out in the long term. As a Support Coordinator myself I understand the importance of finding the right support worker, as they will become part of your everyday life; from helping you at home, getting to know your family and friends, through to helping care for your pets.

Mel and I share interests in shopping, 'pretties' and having a great laugh, so it was an instant match as well as Mel's desire to get the job done and help out with whatever 'extras' might be needed.

Over the past 12 months, Mel has helped me with personal care, in-home organisation and day-to-day household tasks, accessing community events, shopping, helping me with my family and day outs for mental health re-charging.

Over the course of the last 12 months, Mel has introduced me to her other staff who have equally been an asset in helping me with all day-to-day support requirements.

I have been with Mells Care service's for over 12 months now. 

In that time Mel and her team have cared for my son Bryce. She has always put Bryce's welfare foremost. Her constant care and attention for Bryce has kept him interested and having fun with a wide range of activities, suitable to his ability. This includes attention to his personal grooming and teaching him how to care for himself along with teaching him life skills for him to become  more independent.
